Summer school at each Epitech campus

Dear Partners,

First of all, let me wish you all the best for 2017!

I hope that everything is going well for you and your families and that you have safe travels for those who are currently travelling abroad!
As always, we are happy to welcome your students at our campus. This year, we launch a new Summer school at each Epitech campus : Bordeaux, Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes, Strasbourg, Lille, Marseille, Nancy, Nice, Paris, Rennes, Toulouse. The program will be offered from July 3 to 21, 2017. Students will experience the Epitech innovative project-based pedagogy and realize a technical prototype based on a specific technology related to the ecosystem of the city. Technologies used will range from IoT to e-health, video games or interactive design. In addition to technical modules, the program will include company visits and cultural activities which will allow students to discover places of interest and the technological ecosystem of the city.

Please find more information about the program here and feel free to share it with your Faculty: http://www.summer-schools.fr/epitech/index.html

Invitation to Tryst 2017, IIT Delhi

Greetings!

On behalf of the Co-curricular & Academic Interaction Council, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, I would like to extend you a warm invitation to Tryst 2017
the Annual Technical Festival of IIT Delhi.

Tryst 2017 will be held from 24th Feb – 27th Feb 2017, and will feature an impressive line-up of more than 50 Sci-Tech events including Seminars, Lectures, Workshops, Exhibitions and Competitions. In the past we have extended our red carpet to distinguished personalities such as Steve Ballmer, Horst Koehler, Jeff Lieberman, Harry Marshall and Ryoji Noyori.

This year, 7 engineering departments at IIT Delhi have come together to host some stimulating events for you.
The Department of Chemical Engineering is proud to present two exciting events, ChemECar and ChemEQuiz.

The event “ChemECar”
is a very innovative event which is being hosted by our department. It is inspired by diversity of chemical reactions and car designing. The participants are required to design a car which runs when a chemical reaction takes place. This competition not only challenges your skills but also your ingenuity and innovation. For people who have interest in Chemical Engineering, we present before them, ChemEQuiz which gives them the opportunity to hone their scientific thinking. With certain questions specific to chemistry, the ChemEQuiz is open to all and covers a diverse range of topics other than chemistry.

Myriad institutions throughout the country have registered for these events and I would like to extend the invitations to students from your institution to come, register and dive into great depths at such a national stage and emerge victorious.

I would be very grateful if students from your institution participate in our event. Please forward this email to the students pursuing Chemical Engineering and/or related courses from your institute.

Eagerly looking forward to have participation from your Institution.

Regards,

Akanksha Puwar

  • The cells so produced should exhibit novel and salient properties for potential applications.

Who can apply?
Undergraduate and postgraduate students teams (maximum 10) along with a mentor with credible experience in synthetic biology.
Selection criteria

  • Non-obviousness and potential applications emerging from the proposed concept of the engineered systems
  • Rational design of biological components that include construction of standard parts (DNA, RNA, Protein), devices (modules e.g. operon, transcription factor complex) and circuits (pathways/networks).
  • Standards molecular biology studies that do not map to the rational design approach will not be selected.
Upto five selected teams will be supported to register their research idea for submission to the iGEM competition
