Invitation from Reflux Committee, NITK Surathkal

Greetings from Reflux Committee, NITK Surathkal!

It gives us great pleasure to inform you that we, Chemical Engineering students, are back with a variety of events for the annual technical symposium of our college - ENGINEER 2018. This time the previously established Chemical Committee has been revamped and re-engineered into the brand new Reflux Committee. It is an amalgamation of wisdom, creativity, and celebration of Chemical Engineering through various events. We emphasize on the spirit of Chemical Engineering and create awareness about the diversity of opportunities available in this field.

The events itself, spread over 4 days of the fest, are some of the most popular and awaited ones this ENGINEER. These events include,
  • Chemical Breakdown (October 11, 2018): Our flagship event including three rounds of out-of-box thinking and brainstorming to solve puzzles. An intriguing treasure hunt and hefty prizes await.
  • Industry Defined Problem (October 12, 2018): An opportunity to solve an actual problem being faced by a chemical industry. Teams have to come up with a viable solution and they get a chance to interact with the leaders of the industry.
  • Capture (October 13, 2018): Combining photography skills with science and to come up with the perfect description for the perfect moment in this one of a kind event.
  • Chem-E-Talks (October 14, 2018): Join us at the Chem-E-Talks and explore the world of chemical engineering through the perspective of a molecular biology researcher, a senior chemical technologist and a seven-time TEDx speaker and organizer.
These events attract many students from different colleges and foster innovative, interdisciplinary thinking and problem solving skills. Along with meeting new students from different backgrounds, we have tie ups with nearby industries, eminent personalities in the field and this will provide great exposure to the participants.

We cordially invite you and your students to join us in this celebration of technology and innovation. We hope it acts as an immense growth and learning opportunity for everyone involved. We look forward to having you at Reflux '18.
